Lemon Water: Boost Immunity & Detox Naturally
Lemon is a very rich source of Vitamin C. It also contains other vitamins like vitamin B and riboflavin, minerals like calcium, phosphorus and magnesium as well as proteins and carbohydrates. Packaged lemon juice can never replace the health benefits one can get from natural lemon juice.
In his book Back to Eden, Jethro Kloss confirms the role of lemon in cleansing our system. He said that “The medicinal value of the lemon is as follows: It is an antiseptic, or is an agent that prevents sepsis [the presence of pathogenic bacteria] or putrefaction [decomposition of tissue]. People weighing 70 kg or less should squeeze at least one-half of a lemon into one glass of water. Those weighing more than 70 kg should juice at least one whole lemon in a glass of water. One may squeeze more lemon juice according to taste.
